National kickboxer to fight for world champion title

Azerbaijani kickboxer Alim Nabiyev has qualified for a world champion title tournament. He booked his place after defeating Chinese Zhang Yang 30-27in Kunlun Fight tournament in China.

Nabiev is current WMC world light heavyeight champion.

In May 2017, he is ranked the #7 welterweight in the world by Combat Press.

Kunlun Fight is a Chinese kickboxing promotion developed by Kunsun Media. Kunlun Fight debuted in 2014 and is regarded as one of the top kickboxing promotions in the world.
