National sambo wrestler wins Russian festival

Azerbaijani sambo wrestler Javid Garayev has become the winner of the First Festival of national sports and games of CIS countries held in Ulyanovsk, Russia.

He secured a gold medal in the men’s 62kg weight class, Azertac reported.

A total of 300 athletes from 10 countries contested 70 sets of medals at the tournament.
