The World Wrestling Championships kicked off in Moscow. The 7-day competition started with the Greco-Roman tournament. The European Champion Elchin Aliyev (55 kg) beat Ukrainian wrestler Vugar Rahimov 1:0, 1:0 in the 1/16 of final.
Silver medalist, Azeri wrestler Vitaly Rahimov (66 kg) overpowered Kumar Sunil from India 5:0, 0:1 and 1:0. In the 1/4 of final Rahinmov beat Armenian rival Arman Adikyan with a score 0:1, 1:0 and 5:0. Vitaly Rahimov will meet Russia's Ambako Vachadze in the next match.
