Pakistan`s national boxing federation has announced the country`s squad for the Baku Amateur Boxing World Championships slated for September 26. Pakistan`s squad will include Muhammad Vasem (49 kg),
Haroon Khan and Amir Khan (both 65 kg), Nisar Khan (75 kg), Karachi Amir Khan (65 kg) and Muhammad Huseyn (55 kg). National federations of 126 countries will send a total of 716 boxers to the Baku Amateur Boxing World Championships which kicks off on September 26.
Bangladesh, Benin, Cambodia, Jamaica, Nauru and Swaziland are expected to confirm their participation with the International Amateur Boxing Federation, AIBA, which means 728 boxers from 132 countries will compete in the championships.
The championship is a qualifying event for the London Olympics.
