A world championship in academic rowing continues in Bled, Slovenia. According to the Azerbaijani Rowing Federation, Azeri sportsmen passed to the semifinal after 2000 meters race.
Thus, Natalia Mustafayeva timed 7mins 38.63 sec and finished first at the "consolatory" race. Alexander Alexandrov also made his way through to the semifinal after timing 6mins 52.77 sec and finishing second.
To gain Olympic ticket, Alexander needs to finish among top 11 rowers while Mustafayeva among 9.
