Azeri female wrestler secures Olympic berth

Azerbaijani female wrestler Mariya Stadnik weighing in at 48 kg has booked the country a spot at the 2012 London Olympic Games, after winning silver medal in the world championship in Istanbul.

Other Azeri female wrestler Patimat Bagomedova has garnered bronze medal in the 51 kg class after beating Indian Rathi Neha.

The Azerbaijan wrestling team has so far secured three places for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
