Azerbaijan moves forward in FIFA ranking

The Azerbaijani national football team moved forward in the FIFA ranking for 14 spots, the Azerbaijani Football Federations Association (AFFA) said on Wednesday.

Now, the Azerbaijani national team has 359 points and holds 98th place.

Azerbaijan won the Kazakh national team with a score of 3:2 in Baku held in the qualifying round of the European Championship in September. A game between the national teams of Azerbaijan and Belarus ended with a score of 1:1 in Baku.

The next rating will be announced on Oct.19.
