LUKoil advances in Top 250 Energy Companies ranking

Platts has today released its annual 2006 Top 250 Global Energy Companies rankings, recognizing the industry's top-performing companies around the world.

The Platts Top 250 is a global survey that measures financial performance by examining each company's assets, revenues, profits, and return on invested capital.

As APA reports, LUKoil rated at 6th place among European Energy Companies and 15th place among Global Energy Companies ranking. Last year LUKoil ranked at 9th and 16th places respectively.

Platts is the world's leading provider of energy information.
