Earthquake in western regions of Azerbaijan

Earthquake happened in the western regions of Azerbaijan today, Arif Hasanov general director of Seismological Service Center informed.

He said that the epicenter of the earthquake is in 65 km of Astara – Iranian territory. Earthquake shocks were in the power of 2.5 points in Lenkeran, 3.0 points in Astara 2.0 points by Richter scale in Lerik.

No destruction and losses were observed. Arif Hasanov said that the seismological background has not changed and the position is constant in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
