Gobustan jail chief and commander dismissed

They were dismissed because of their wrong doing. But unofficial sources told that one of the prisoners was illegally allowed to meet and was beaten by those people. The chief and the commander were dismissed because of this fact.

Garadagh prosecutor Tariyel Gurbanov denied the fact. Chingiz Ganizade, the member of the committee said that it is not right to relate it with the monitoring held some days ago in Gobustan jail.

He said that Sedaget Agayev has already been dismissed during the monitoring. But he participated in the monitoring and said that he is unaware of the reasons of his dismissal. Ganizade stated that the results of monitoring will be announced soon.

It should be noted Agayev was given three months to remove the shortcomings.

Lots of murder and suicides among prisoners were reported during Agayev's leadership.
