Azercell anticipates privatization of state stake

Azercell Telecom JV has completed all paperwork for privatization of the state's stake in the company.

Director General Halim Ates told a press conference that the company is looking forward to the Government's decision on privatization.

Azerbaijan's mobile pilot will soon apply the third generation technology.

Azercell Telecom JV was established in 1996 by Azerbaijan’s Communications and Information Technologies Ministry (35.7%) and Dutch Fintur Holdings BV (64.3%) which is owned by TeliaSonera (41.55%) and Turkcell (41.55%). APA-Economics
