Soldier Eldeniz Nuriyev being kept in Bayil ward

Soldier of Azerbaijani Armed Forces Eldeniz Nuriyev, who was captured on December 21 of last year by Armenians, at present, is being kept in Bayil Detention ward #1 of Justice Ministry's Penitentiary Service.

Criminal case was launched against him on Article 274 (high treason), 334.3 (desertion) and 338.1 (violation of service rules) of Criminal Code, the military prosecutor’s Office told the APA.

Nuriyev was handed over to Azerbaijani side on January 16 and was arrested by Baku Military Prosecutor's Office.

Eldeniz Nuriyev (1976) was drafted from Aghsu Military Registration Department in 2005 and was captured on December 31, 2006.
