After the meeting, Knesset members told journalists the aim of the Baku visit, APA reports.
"The main aim of the visit is to meet Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan Jewish community members. Because, Jewish communities play significant role in the strengthening of bilateral relations. Moreover, we intend to visit parliamentarians and Ministers."
Stressing the continuing development of Azerbaijan–Israel relations, Israeli MPs said more than 100 thousand Azerbaijanis live in Israel.
"They consider themselves Azerbaijanis. Because, their ancestors lived in Azerbaijan."
Answering the question on newly-discovered mass burial places in Guba region, Israeli MPs said they are against genocide as Jewish nation suffered from massacres and intend to visit the region tomorrow.
"We will meet Jewish community members in Guba and Azerbaijani scientists. If the fact of Jewish massacres proved we will raise the issue in the Knesset."
