Population’s deposits with banks rises 67% in Azerbaijan

The total of deposits put with Azeri banks by Azerbaijani nationals amounted to AZN 908.4 million at April 1, 2007, up 66.6% from the same period last year.
The State Statistical Committee informed that 32% of the deposits were saved in national currency and 69.1% in foreign currencies. 
 
In April the US dollar was trading at AZN 0.87 and euro was trading at AZN 1.12.
