Minister of Culture and Tourism criticizes employees of cultural institutions of Baku

The collegium of the Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism held a session with participation of heads of the institutions of culture and tourism of Baku.
According to Day.Az, Minister Abulfaz Qarayev criticized the employees of the cultural institutions.

He considers that the cultural spheres does not respond to state care, provided to this sphere.

Qarayev noted that decree to raise minimal wages had been issued twice, wages of employees in the cultural sphere had been increased twice and the country's President has lately raised wages to them by 25%. However, he considers that the cultural institutions do not respond to such care.

The Minister noted that the process of reorganization is slow.

Qarayev reminded that after introducing due amendments to the legislation, the cultural enterprises got an opportunity to have off-budget gains, yet the institutions have not taken definite steps yet.

"Networks of cinemas, libraries, museums are paralyzed. I have been informed that employees of cultural institutions commit law offences and use others' names. It is necessary to put an end to it", said the Minister.
