Judge presiding over case on reopening Abu Bakr mosque dies

Judge Asif Allahverdiyev, who was to preside over the hearing on the suit on reopening Abu Bakr mosque this morning, died, chief of Religious Community "Narimanov district brethren" Gamet Suleymanov told APA.
He said they heard that Asif Allahverdiyev had died.

Narimanov district court confirmed the fact to APA. They said Asif Allahverdiyev was at work the day before and died in the evening. They also said Allahverdiyev, 60, had suffered from diabetes for a long time.

The hearings to be presided by him and the hearing on reopening Abu Bakr mosque have been adjourned sine die.
