Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) will sign a visa simplification agreement with Italy, a statement said on Tuesday.
The chamber will sign an agreement with Italian Consulate General in Istanbul on February 15 to facilitate visa procedures for businessmen.
ITO signed a similar agreement with the French Consulate in Istanbul in 2008.
Under the agreement, Turkish businessmen, who are the members of ITO, will get long-term visa between one and four years from Italy, thanks to a letter given by their chamber.
Also, ITO's Executive Board Chairman Murat Yalcintas will receive an Italian medal of honor for his contributions to Turkish-Italian relations during the signature ceremony.
