"Gavaldashi" on Eurovision 2012 stage

The symbol of Azerbaijani musical culture, the "Gavaldashi" (Gaval stone) was brought onto the Eurovision Song Contest 2012’s stage. According to eurovision.az, the rehearsal of interval act of the first semi-final was also held today. On a special note, spectators will be able to witness the magnificent culture of Azerbaijan on May 22. This show involves Azerbaijani national musical instruments. The performance with the balaban and drums was of particular interest to the European press.

The leader of the rhythm group, "Natig", Natig Shirinov, played the "Gavaldashi". This show was memorable with a dance of the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble and with the "Natig" rhythm group’s performance.

So, the audience will be a witness of this magnificence in the Baku Crystal Hall on May 21 during the dress rehearsal and on May 22 on the live airing of the first semi-final show.
