Azerbaijan honoured with 123rd place on Index of Economic Freedom

Azerbaijan was honoured with the 123rd place among 161 states on the Index of Economic Freedom calculated by the Heritage Foundation and Wall Street Journal.

Russia held the 122nd place, Turkey 85th, Iran 156th, Georgia 68th, Armenia 27th on this index calculated on the basis of main 50 parameters. The lowest index among the former Soviet republic belongs to Turkmenistan (148th place) and Belarus (151st place) and the highest index to Estonia. Hong Kong, Singapore, Ireland, Luxemburg, Great Britain and Iceland lead in the list respectively on the Index of Economic Freedom.
