Ramiz Hasanov: "Penalties and sanctions for irregularities in foodstuffs production are very soft"

The Government doesn't make any producers to make products suitable for European market or standards, Ramiz Hasanov, chairman of State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patent, said.

He thinks workshops and trainings for producers should be held regularly, APA reports.

"Besides the Agency, people should also control the quality, expiry date of the foodstuffs."

The foodstuff market is monitored and penalties are made for irregularities. But the sanctions and penalties are very soft.
