Ministers of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will take part in the conference. They will discuss joint efforts for strengthening of regional cooperation in Central Asia.
Reps of multilateral and bilateral development institutes, other regional organizations and private sector also will participate in some sessions, including the forum's work on business development which will start its work on October 16. The president of the Asian Development Bank Haruhiko Kuroda will address participants of the ministerial conference.
CAREC is the partnership of member countries and six institutes of multilateral cooperation. It is aimed at advancement of economic cooperation in Central Asia. The program is being directed to regional initiatives in transport sector, trade facilitation, trade policy and energy which are playing key role in improvement of region’s economic development.
In the course of the conference the ministers will consider the comprehensive plan of actions, developed for further strategic management with CAREC program and will debate the ways of a new impulse attachment to regional cooperation by means of program's widening and deepening, Deputy Director General of the ADB's West and Central Asia Department Xianbin Yao said.
