Iran and Azerbaijan to boost economic, trade cooperation

An Iranian economic and industrial delegation comprising of representatives from 20 Iranian firms were to arrive in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan today, to take part in a seminar aimed at exploring ways of expanding mutual trade and economic cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

The Iranian delegation, including representatives of companies producing foodstuff, clothing materials, medical equipments, automotives, road building, construction sector and electronic equipments, had earlier traveled to Georgia. They had concluded a number of trade and economic agreements with their Georgian counterparts as well.

The seminar held in cooperation with Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) will be held in Baku, from Nov. 23-25, 2006, the Persian service of ISNA news agency said here on Wednesday. MNA
