Azeri Industry and Energy Minister meets with ISO Secretary-General

Ministry spokesman Azer Mansimli told APA-Economics that importance of ISO standards for the country's industry, energy and engineering sectors were discussed at the meeting.

Natig Aliyev said Azerbaijan has become a full member of ISO since 2003 and the country's transition to international standards should be implemented on the basis of a State Program.

Alan Bryden said the Organization will continue to support Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan has become a full member of ISO since 2003. ISO promotes the development of standardization and related activities in the world with a view to facilitating the international exchange of goods and services and to developing cooperation in the spheres of intellectual, scientific, technological and economic activity.
