BP-Azerbaijan Vice-President Bruce Luberski said the project is planned to spend $30m for the first quarter of the year, APA-Economics reports.
Deep Water Guneshli has up to now spent $2.21m and is planned to have 1Q spending of $260m.
He added that Azeri-Guneshli-Chirag currently employ 8,400 people, of these, 80% are Azerbaijan nationals. After the construction works are complete, 3,000 people of them will have a permanent job. Moreover, the Sangachal Terminal Expansion Programme (STEP) employs 1,100 people but they will be cut to 550 in 2008.
The ACG Phase 3 is currently 78% complete.
