Azerbaijan working out tourism raising program

Azerbaijan is working out a 10-year state program for tourism development.

Culture and Tourism Ministry officer Elchin Gafarli told APA-Economics that the program is aimed at developing particular types of local tourism, improving local infrastructure and paving the way for transition to a desirable holidaying site.

He added that Azerbaijan's hotels can accommodate 25,000 guests in total at present while the capacity will be enlarged to 150,000 by 2016.
