Poti-Odessa and Poti-Istanbul subsea cables to be laid

It is slated to lay Poti (Georgia)-Odessa (Ukraine) and Poti (Georgia)-Istanbul (Turkey) cables in the short run.

Azerbaijan International relations and Accounting Center director Jalil Jafarov said the joint cable line will be divided in two directions in the Mediterranean Sea, one will go to Odessa and the other to Istanbul.

"International operators take great interest in these routes," he added.

He said that there are large-capacity canals in Ukraine going to Europe and Romania will also join the projected cables in the future, APA reports.
