Turkish parliament to ratify regional railroad project deal

Turkish Parliament is expected to ratify the agreement on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project in the nearest future. The process to buy railroad lands from residents in Turkey is under way.

Turkey's Yuksel Domanic will introduce the draft on construction and reconstruction of Georgian part of the railway in May.

Azerbaijani and Georgian parliaments have already passed the agreement and the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has allocated $50 million of the planned $200 million loan to Georgia. Construction works in Georgia will start in June-July. APA
