The three-day exhibition opened on Wednesday with 50 companies from 20 countries displaying their capabilities in the fields of agriculture and foodstuff.
In his inaugural speech, Azeri Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abbasov said that his country gives priority to development of non-oil economic sectors including agriculture and foodstuff.
The minister expressed hope that the international fair will provide participating countries with the opportunity to get acquainted with the market of the county.
Commercial Manager of Farmand Company Hamid Shanjani told IRNA on the sidelines of the opening ceremony that the Iranian company has participated in the exhibition for the first time with an aim of marketing and exporting its products including chocolates and cookies to neighboring countries.
Expert with Iran Combine Manufacturing Company Naser Rahimi said that the company has exported agricultural machinery to Azerbaijan, which were largely welcomed in the country.
The Iranian company has participated in the exhibition to display its industrial capacities in manufacturing high quality machinery with competitive prices, spare parts and services, he added. IRNA
