Stress can cause heart disease even at young age

Nowadays, people hardly get time to look after their health. With the advent of modern technology, human life on earth has become comfortable and complicated at the same time. Today, everyone is involved in a rat race towards success. This relentless atmosphere of continuous work is giving rise to excessive stress that becomes unbearable at times. Now, Natural News reports that excessive stress can usher cardiac disease faster than normal. A number of researches in recent times show that stress, if not taken care of properly, may give rise to a number of diseases including diabetes, cancer, dementia and especially cardiac problems.

A research conducted by scientists from Columbia University Medical Center has been published in the American Journal of Cardiology. The research has incorporated the results of six different studies involving almost 120,000 people from all over the U.S. The result of the research clearly indicates that higher level of stress can pave the way for coronary heart disease at an earlier age. Though it is now a widely known fact that stress is directly related to cardiac diseases, the research conducted by the researchers from the Columbia University Medical Center is the first of its kind to establish a direct link between stress and cardiac disease.

Natural News reveals that the research subjects were first categorized according to the level of stress they were going through. They were then closely watched for 14 years in order to determine the number of people suffering from cardiac problems. The research revealed that those with higher levels of stress exhibited a higher risk of cardiac problems by 27 percent than those with lower levels of stress. However, it has also been established that excessive stress can cause severe cardiac problems even in those who belong to a younger age group.
