A man in Austria has reportedly been fired for washing himself with his own urine.
Alfred Zoppelt, 53, had been working in the Vienna museum Belvedere for 23 years when he was dismissed, according to The AP.
His notice said: "You regularly rub urine into your skin, particularly the face and hands. With this, you soil your place of work... and threaten the health of your co-workers."
Zoppelt claimed that no-one previously had an issue with it, telling Austrian newspaper Krone: "I was promoted to being a warden - in charge of the porters there. It was there that I showed a colleague a DVD about urine therapy.
"After that, he said I was fired."
Urine therapy apparently acts as a remedy against acne, wrinkles, allergies and cancer, but has yet to be scientifically proven.
