OSCE workshops on money laundering fighting to be held in October-November in Azerbaijan

The workshops will be held under the support of the UNO Department on drugs and crimes (UNODC).

It should be noted, that a decision to hold these workshops has been included as a separate clause in the text of the Final Declaration of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) annual session, adopted on 5 July of the current year in Washington.

The Declaration noted, “OSCE will always support the UNODC activities aimed at the implementation of the Global Program for Money Laundering, as well as hold workshops on the subject in a number of the post-soviet states, including Azerbaijan”. (Trend)

A special accent in the text of the resolution was put on the significance of carrying out investigations aimed at disclosure and punishment of people and groups involved in the money laundering, as well as tough judicial persecution of all kinds of economic crimes.
