Denis Bribosia: "Substantial reforms will be implemented in Baku bureau of CoE"

Special representative on Azerbaijan appointed by Council of Europe Secretary General is of Belgium origin.

Bribosa giving interview to Europe bureau of APA said that after finishing high school in Brussels, he continued his education in the USA after which he studied at Law Faculty of Louvain University of the USA.

He is a lawyer, specialist for human rights. He has worked as lawyer in Belgium for a while. In 1994 he worked at European Court for Human Rights, then he headed the mission activating in Cambodia within UNO Human Rights Commissariat. He had close cooperation with European Union in definite posts. Since 1998 he has been working in Supreme Administration for Human Rights of Council of Europe information department on European Convention work. At present he works at the Committee for tender age children's defense from sexual abuse.

Speaking of the work he will implement in Baku, Bribosia said that substantial reforms will be implemented in Council of Europe Baku bureau and he will try this Office to be a model in the region. Bribosia said that he had already been in Azerbaijan twice.

"I visited Baku last in September of last year. This country had good impressions on me and I accepted this post with great pleasure. I hope that my activity in Azerbaijan will bring positive qualities to the country."

Denis Bribosia will begin to his activity in Azerbaijan from June 15.
