Vano Noniashvili, the ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan, appointed end 2009, resigned.
The diplomat submitted resignation due to personal reasons, Ia Makharashvili, spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Georgia said.
Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia, accepted the resignation.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the new ambassador hasn't been appointed yet.
Noniashvili was confirmed by the Parliament in his position on Novemeber 17th. Previously he headed the press service of the administration of the Georgian President.
