Iran plans to issue 11 billion dollars in bonds in the current Iranian year (started March 21) to finance its economic projects.
Iran's Finance Minister Shamseddin Hosseini made the announcement in a meeting with the advisor of Kuwaiti prime minister Ismail Khader Al-Shatti in Tehran on Tuesday.
Hosseini says the buyers of the bonds will receive "appropriate interest" from the Iranian government.
He also called on foreign investors, including Kuwaitis, to invest in the bonds that would finance Iranian investment projects.
Every year the Iranian government issues bonds worth millions of dollars to finance its oil and gas projects and draw foreign investments.
