Ninth regional Turkey, Caspian, Black Sea and Russia conference and showcase of telecommunications and IT technologies – Caspian Telecoms opened in Istanbul on April 28.
The conference features top officials of the communications ministries and the presidents of the state-owned telecommunications companies from over 20 countries, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia to deliberate on current status, challenges and prospects for telecommunication and IT sector. The event has grown steadily over the last years and has now become an essential meeting point for many professionals in the telecoms industry.
Every year we observe the rising interest of the participants in telecommunications and IT technologies, Turkish minister of transport Bineli Yildirim said at the opening ceremony.
Head of the Strategic Planning and Scientific Potential Department of the Ministry of Communications and Information technologies of Azerbaijan Ilham Mardanov described the achievements of the country in the field of telecommunications and other IT-s. According to Ilham Mardanov, construction of Trans-Eurasia Super Information Highway will be completed in 2012.
