Garegin II reported on his Baku visit to Armenian President

After the recent visit to Baku, Cathalicos of All Armenians Garegin II reported on his visit to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and also details of his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Armenia-based Hraparak newspaper, Catholicos was given a royal reception and the Armenian president personally went down the stairs to meet Garegin II. No official statements on a meeting between the president and the Catholicos were made. Presumably the meeting was confidential, the newspaper reported.

It is also wasnt announced how exactly Armenian Catholicos arrived in Baku. Ejmiadzin reported that the Catholicos arrived in Azerbaijan not on board of the presidential plane. The Zvartnots airport refused to give any details about the Catholicos’ flight. It is only known that the he flew via European charter flight which means that the plane was rented.
