Israel Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon met with the leaders of Azerbaijani and Turkish organizations in New York.
The meeting at the Consulate General of Israel was attended by President of the Azerbaijani-American Society Tomris Azeri and Ali Cinar and Ibrahim Kurtulush, representatives of the Turkish Diaspora organizations in the United States, the Azerbaijani-American Society said in a statement.
Expressing satisfaction with the meeting, Ayalon noted deep history of relations between Turkey and Israel and Azerbaijan. Deputy FM emphasized that "Turkey is currently writes history in the region” and Israel and Turkey experience no problems in terms of strategic cooperation.
The diplomat noted friendly relations between Turkish and Azerbaijani diasporas and Jewish organizations of America, stressing the importance of implementing joint projects in education and culture.
Ayalon also stressed that relations between Azerbaijan and Israel have always been at a high level. Deputy FM invited Tomris Azeri to visit Israel on an official visit.
Following the meeting, Ayalon expressed his desire to organize a joint meeting of Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora and Jewish organizations in New York and New Jersey, promising to assist in implementing these plans.
