Turkey revises death toll in coach crash with Russian tourists

Death toll was corrected as 15 after a tour bus carrying Russian tourists skidded off a highway and fell off a bridge in southern province of Antalya.
Earlier, it was announced that 16 people were killed in the accident.

Turkish Culture & Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay said after visiting the injured tourists at hospital that 13 Russian tourists, their Turkish tour guide and driver of the bus lost their lives in the accident and 26 people were injured.

"Five injured people have been admitted to the intensive care units. Some of them are in life-threatening condition. We offered Russia to bring in relatives of the injured tourists," he said.

The bus broke through iron barriers, flipped over and fell onto its roof in a river bed. It was traveling from the resort town of Alanya to the Pamukkale waterfall in the southwestern province of Denizli. President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia released a message and offered his condolences to those who lost their beloved ones in the accident.

Russian Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Natural Disasters said that a plane was sent to Antalya to bring back the injured Russian citizens and bodies of those who lost their lives in the accident.
