British PM Cameron to visit Turkey

21 July 2010 [15:05] - TODAY.AZ
The British prime minister will pay a formal visit to Turkey on July 26-27, the press office of Turkey's Prime Minister said on Wednesday.
Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his British counterpart David Cameron will debate bilateral relations, and regional and international issues concerning the two countries, particularly Turkey's European Union (EU) accession bid.

Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs William Hague will accompany Cameron during his stay in Turkey.

Turkey and Britain will update and re-sign a strategic partnership document, which was signed for two years of time during Erdogan's visit to Britain in 2007.

Upon an invitation from his British counterpart, Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu visited this country on July 8 and discussed preparations for Cameron's visit to Turkey as well as bilateral relations.
