Mevlut Cavusoglu: Turkey continues to assist Azerbaijan

Turkey protects interests of Turkish-speaking countries at all platforms, said President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut Cavusoglu said at the conference "Turkey's role in European Union."

Azerbaijan enjoys Turkey's support most of all. Turkey continues to assist Azerbaijan, he added.

PACE President underlined Turkey wants to develop relations with all countries around. Withdrawal of Armenian troops from occupied Azerbaijani lands is the main condition for normalization of relations with Armenia.

Addressing the conference, chairman of the Sweden-Turkey interparliamentary friendship group Goran Lindblad said left parties which supported so-called “Armenian genocide” in the Swedish parliament on March 11 want to adopt a new resolution by sending this decision to the European Union and UN. He called on Swedish citizens of Turkish origin to vote for the Moderate Party in order to prevent this.
