Another major gas field discovered in Iran

Iran's state-owned Pars Oil and Gas Company has announced it has discovered a new major oil field off the Iranian coast of the Persian Gulf.

The company's Director Ali Vakili told that the estimated capacity of Ferdevzi oil field more totals than 34 million barrels, and currently the amount of the deposit is being specified.

If Vakili’s information is true, the volume of proven oil fields of Iran now makes up more than 150 million barrels, MIGnews.com reports. Vakili also reported about discovery of a new gas field Sefid with a capacity of 20 billion cubic meters of gas.
