Government issues order to regulate trucks traffic in Baku

20 April 2006 [09:39] - TODAY.AZ
As the decision of Baku Mayor's Office on restricting motion of heavy trucks in the capital gave no results, the Cabinet of Ministers issued a new order in this connection.

The Cabinet told APA that under the order, trucks running to Baku will be issued a special card. The card will contain schemes and time limit of trucks' traffic. If drivers violate the regulations shown in the card, traffic police will fine them, and the driver will be forbidden to drive in Baku any more.

The spokesman of the Baku State Traffic Police Office Vagif Asadov told APA that acts on 3919 drivers have been compiled after the decision of the Baku Mayor. The objective of the Cabinet's order is to prevent obstacles to construction of new crossroads, subway stations and other big establishments in Baku.
