1.506.113 sq. meters area cleared from mines and UXO last month

APA reports quoting the National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) that the mine actions involved 22 mine searching dogs, 138 field-engineers, 15 UXO operators, 8 paramedics, nearly 100 assistants and three mechanical equipment.

25.317.353 sq. meters area have been cleared so far. 16250 mines and UXO have been disarmed. 199.300 sq. meters area was removed by mechanical way in April. Two mine/UXO explosions occurred in April. 77 mine explosions have killed 48 people and wounded 108 since September, 2001.
