The goal of the event, to be organized by the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations and the Azeri embassy in this country, is to closely familiarize the Hungarian public with the ancient and abundant Azeri culture, convey the realities about the country and inform them about the objective reasons underlying the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh, the Committee told AssA-Irada.
On Tuesday, a scientific symposium, "Azerbaijan and Hungary: history and culture", will be held at the Academy of Sciences in Budapest. The Azeri ambassador Hasan Hasanov, as well as a number of prominent scholars from both countries will make reports on various topics concerning the history of bilateral relations. Also among the speakers are the director of the National Academy of Sciences History Institute, MP Yagub Mahmudov and head of the Azerbaijan Ataturk [the founder of the first Turkish state] Center Nizami Jafarov.
The second day of the event will feature concerts by Azeri art masters.
