14 hurt in Istanbul gas blast

According to CNN, the explosion followed a fire at a rifle range in the building, local media reported.

The rifle range is located in the district of Uskudar on the Asian side of the city.

All 14 injured were taken to local hospitals, local media said.

A gas leak caused the explosion in the five-story building, Turkish police sources told Reuters.

It was not clear how the fire which led to the explosion began.

Ambulances were seen rushing to the scene after the blast, eyewitnesses said.
