Action brought against "New Fact" and "Gun" papers

As APA reports, the "New Fact" (June 1, 2006, 4th issue) and "Gun" (June 2, 2006, 15th issue) papers published collage of Iranian supreme religious and state figures insulting their national and religious dignity.

The Prosecutor's Office talking into account the appeals for punishing the culprits, examined both papers. It was proved that the "New Fact" and "Gun" papers abusing powers publicized collage and stories insulting supreme religious and state figures of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The society and state interests secured by law were seriously damaged by this action. The results of the investigation into the case will be made public.
