Ombudsman's representatives survey temporary detention places

The representatives surveyed temporary detention center of the Baku Police Department, Azizbayov district police office detention center, 1st, 2nd and 3rd police stations, Sabunchu district police office’s 14th and 15th police stations as well as Binagadi district police office temporary detention center and centers of the 4th and 5th police stations.

The Ombudsman's Office told that its representatives met with the detainees individually and got acquainted with the detention conditions, nutrition, as well as explained the detainees their rights and familiarized with relevant documents on legitimacy of their detention.

The detainees did not complain of any use of violence, inhuman attitude, detention conditions as well as attitude of the authorities towards them.

The Interior Ministry was informed about the results of the examination, APA reports.
