Diplomats visited IDP camp

Ambassadors, consuls and representatives to foreign states visited Galagayin displaced-persons camp in Sabirabad.

As APA reports, the diplomats got acquainted with living condition of the IDPs. They also presented five secondary schools with computers and text-books.

1,044 pupils from Jebrail and Zengilan are studying in these schools. Gurban Sadigov, Cabinet of Ministers Refugees and IDPs Department chief informed the diplomats that there are 4,111 families, and totally 17,185 displaced persons in Galagayin camp. IDPs from eight regions living in Galagayin will be transferred to new settlements in Sabirabad by the President's order.

Sadigov also said 1,115 ID families engaged in farming activity here. Each family is granted eight kg of food and 30,000 manats per month.

The diplomats will meet with Defense Ministry servicemen in Garaheybet Training Education Centre.
