Court dismisses investigating Haji Mammadov's testimonies on attempt of terrorist act

Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes today continued the trial of the gang led by Haji Mammadov, former high ranking official of the Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Department.

Defendant Aslanbek Kentamirov answered several questions of Adil Ismayilov, defense-lawyer for Zakir Nasirov, former head of the Crime Investigation Department. The lawyer asked whether he has a brother by the name of Isa and it has anything to do with the wanted Isa. Kentamirov refused to talk about this saying the wanted Isa is not his brother.

Kentamirov expressed dissatisfaction with the preliminary investigation.

Lawyer Tofig Valiyev solicited for investigating Haji Mammadov's testimony on an attempt to terrorist act. Defendants Husain and Sidek Adulvahabov brothers, Eldar Rahimov, Novruz Nuriyev, Nishad Ismayilov protested against the solicitation. The judge dismissed the solicitation.

The trial will continue on 14 September, APA reports.
