Council on political prisoner problems conducts monitoring in penitentiary institutions

Members of monitoring group were informed about works concerning the reforms carried out in penitentiary system. Measures are being constantly undertaken for improvement of prisoners' conditions of detention and for getting occupation and education to return as sound citizens to the society.

Talking to prisoners who work in different industrial fields, group members were also interested in health of prisoners who receive treatment, in their medical service, as well as in quality and variety of foods.

Prisoners expressed their satisfaction with the condition, and said they would never commit crimes after returning to the society and serve for their native land honestly.

Members of the Council have come to such a conclusion that the conditions in penitentiary system had been improved because of reforms implemented by the Ministry of Justice. AzerTAg
